Arabis Mosaic Virus, a Cause of Cuorotic Symptoms in Leaves of Fmxinus excelsior L. Arabis mosaic virus (AMV) was detected in leaves of four Fraxinm excelsior L. trees showing chlorotic mottling, chevrons, or oak-leaf patterns and growing in soil infested with virus-carrying Xiphinema diversicaudatum Micol.
Xiphinema diversicaudatum Thorne is often present in greenhouse rose crops. This ectoparasitic nematode, measuring 4 - 5 mm in length at the adult stage (Figure 1c), produces root galls at the tip of feeder rootlets. These galls are characterized by swollen and curled tips.
