Ber variety suitable for making chuhara is Umran.
Fruits of this variety are oval with smooth and glossy skin. It is of golden yellow colour and on maturity, it changes to a golden brown. It gets mature in March end to Mid-April. Gives an average yield of 150 - 200 kg per tree.
Umran is the commercial variety of ber with a high pulp-to-stone ratio and high TSS, thus used in making Chuhara.
