It is a type of disorder of cauliflower and is identified by the development of small 'buttons' while the plants are small and consequently, the curds get open.
Lower and Higher temperatures at the time of planting, Low Soil moisture, and nutrient deficiencies like nitrogen and micronutrient deficiencies lead to buttoning of cauliflower, a condition with smaller heads. Planting aged saplings are also one of the main reason for buttoning.
