Colour of Pusa sweti variety of turnip is White.
It is developed at IARI, New Delhi and released in 1976. Selection from an indigenous germplasm collection from Punjab.
This variety is suitable for early sowing. It is sown in the month of August-September. The tubers of this variety are white in colour and shiny. The crop is ready after about 40 to 45 days of sowing.
