Cucumber striped beetle is a vector of

A. Leaf curl

B. Cucumber mosaic

C. Bacterial wilt

D. Downy mildew

Answer: Option C

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Cucumber striped beetle is a vector of Bacterial wilt.
Adults feed on flowers, leaves and fruit, but focus their feeding on the undersides of developing fruit during warm periods. Feeding on flowers and leaves may result in severe defoliation, whereas feeding on fruit produces scarring damage that directly reduces yield.
In addition to direct feeding damage, the striped cucumber beetle (along with the spotted cucumber beetle) is the primary vector of bacterial wilt disease in cucurbits, caused by the pathogen Erwinia tracheiphila.
