Knol khol comes under the Brassica family of vegetables. It is rich in antioxidants and is a good source of dietary fiber.
The edible part of knol-khol is the swollen stem. It is a greenish-white-colored big and round vegetable, similar to cabbage, although it does not have leaves covering it. There are long light green coloured extrusions. Which come out as its shoots.
