Flooding of the fields will help in control of White grubs, Termites and Cut worms.
White grubs are the immature forms of scarab beetles, the well-known May/June beetles, masked chafer, and Japanese beetle. The grubs, $$\frac{1}{4}$$ to over 1 inch (6 - 25 mm) long, are white with brown heads and have six prominent legs.
Termites are a group of detritophagous eusocial insects which consume a wide variety of decaying plant material, generally in the form of wood, leaf litter and soil humus.
Cutworms are moth larvae that hide under litter or soil during the day, coming out in the dark to feed on plants.
