Aldicarb is a cholinesterase inhibitor that prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine in the synapse. Aldicarb is effective where resistance to organophosphate insecticides has developed. It is effective against thrips, aphids, spider mites, lygus, fleahoppers, and leafminers, but is primarily used as a nematicide.
