Golden Acre, Pride of India, and Express are the improved varieties of cabbage.
Golden acre is the early growing variety with small round heads, colour of the leaves is light green from the outside and dark green from the inside. Individual heads weighing 1 - 1.5 kg, harvested within 60 - 65 days after transplanting, the average yield is 20 - 24 t/ha.
Pride of India is also an early growing variety of medium-large head weighing 1 - 1.5 kg, harvested within 70 - 80 days after transplanting, the average yield is 20 - 28 t/ha.
Cabbage Express is an early variety of pointy cabbage. It is suitable to eat fresh, for example in salads. It makes 1 - 1.5 kg heavy heads.
