Harvesting stage for watermelon is

A. Tender stage

B. Half mature

C. Half slip stage

D. Full slip stage

Answer: Option D

Solution (By Examveda Team)

The harvesting stage for watermelon is the full slip stage.
The fruits when mature slip out easily from the vine with little pressure or jerk or if not they will remain separated from the vine the next day. This is called the full slip stage. In some Indian cultivars, green stripes on the skin begin to turn yellow which makes it easy to be harvested.
