    Applying rule of Alligation :
    30 ···································· 50
    ···················· 45 ····················
    5 : 15 or 1 : 3 (Ans.)
    or
    30x + 50y = 45(x+y)
    ⇒ 30x + 50y = 45x + 45y
    ⇒ 15x = 5y
    ⇒x/y = 1/3
    So, x : y = 1 : 3
