A. Sunday

B. Saturday

C. Friday

D. Wednesday

**Answer: Option C **

__Solution(By Examveda Team)__

On 31^{st}December, 2005 it was Saturday.

Number of odd days from the year 2006 to the year 2009 = (1 + 1 + 2 + 1) = 5 days.

∴ On 31

^{st}December 2009, it was Thursday.

Thus, on 1

^{st}Jan, 2010 it is Friday.

Please, I need the general formula that works to calculate for all days in any years

Explanation is given ,but how can I know this is right answer?

Here odd days means 365%7 = 1 and in 2008(leap year) so 366%7 = 2 even year.

Rest is clear in ans...

Every. Leapyear has two odd days

In ordinary year there is 52 weeks and 1 day extra so that day is odd day for ordinary year ......for leap year 52 weeks and 2 odd day means 2 extra day.

Where dis odd days comes from
