Mentha arvensis is Japanese mint.
It is a species of flowering plant in the mint family Lamiaceae. It is a herbaceous perennial plant generally growing to 10 - 60 cm and rarely up to 100 cm tall. It has a creeping rootstock from which to grow erect or semi-sprawling squarish stems.
