NRC of Orchids is located in Sikkim.
The National Research Centre for Orchids was established on 5^th October 1996 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi to organize a program on improvement in productivity, quality and commercialization of orchids.
The basic objective for setting up this centre was to provide research support to the upcoming orchid industry and conserve and use orchid genetic resources available in the country.
