The number of chambers in the heart of the cockroach is 13.The heart of the cockroach consists of an elongated muscular tube lying along the mid-dorsal line of the thorax and abdomen. It is differentiated into funnel shaped chambers with ostia on either side. Blood from the sinuses enters the heart through ostia and is pumped anteriorly to the sinuses again.
