Perigynous flowers are the ones in which gynoecium stays in the centre and other parts of the flower are located on the rim of the thalamus almost at the same level. The ovary is said to be half inferior. Referring to a flower in which the sepals, petals, and stamens arise from the rim of a cuplike hypanthium surrounding the ovary.
