A. High oxygen and low carbon dioxide

B. High carbon dioxide and low oxygen

C. High temperature and low oxygen

D. High humidity and temperature

Answer: Option A

Solution(By Examveda Team)

Photorespiration is favoured by High oxygen and low carbon dioxide.
Photorespiration refers to a process in plant metabolism where the enzyme RuBisCO oxygenates RuBP, wasting some of the energy produced by photosynthesis.
When the stomata are closed to prevent water loss during drought: this limits the CO2 supply, while O2 production within the leaf will continue. This ability to avoid photorespiration makes these plants hardier than other plants in dry and hot environments, wherein stomata are closed and internal carbon dioxide levels are low.
