Seedless mango 'Sindhu' has developed by a back cross between Ratna and Alphonso.
The Sindhu is a cross between mango varieties Ratna X Alphonso. It was created in 1992 by an agriculture university called Konkan Krishi Vidyapith, Dapoli in Maharashtra.
It is a regular bearer, medium-sized, free from spongy tissue with a high pulp-to-stone ratio and very thin and small stone. It has a very small and thin seed and way more pulp than typical mangoes.
