The chili hybrid Arka Harita was developed using CGMS lines. It is an F1 hybrid of the cross IHR 3905 (CGMS) × IHR 3312. High-yielding hybrid with 35 - 38 t/ha fresh yield and 5 - 5.5 t/ha dry yield; fruits are green and turn to red on maturity, smooth and highly pungent; tolerant to powdery mildew & viruses.CGMS is also known as nucleoplasmic male sterility.
