A. 30

B. 20

C. 10

D. 40

Answer: Option B

Solution (By Examveda Team)

The endosperm of an organism has chromosome 30. So the chromosome in the root cell is 20.
The endosperm is triploid, i.e. 3n.
3n = 30
Therefore n = $$\frac{{30}}{3} = 10.$$
Each cell of the root is diploid that will be 2n, that will be 2 × 10= 20
