What are your goals?
Interviewer(s) is highly interested in knowing your goals because a company invests a considerable amount on making its employee a ‘resource’ for the company. They look for candidates whose long term goals can be well-aligned with the company’s own goals.
‘Having known your goals is half the battle won; winning the other half is up to you – how you do it!’
Your answer to this question should include the following points:
1. The expressed desire to work for the company for a long time and make a good career out of it.
2. Demonstrate how your personal goals complement the company’s goal. (For eg., your goal to learn something for skill development which would be relevant for the organization’s activities as well).
3. Do mention your short term goals along with the long term goals
4. Make sure that you sound determined while answering this particular question.
Now, it’s time for 'participation':
*Assume that you are sitting in the interview room now.
*You have been asked to ‘what are your goals’. Go ahead; give it a try on how to answer the same. Post your own answers and get them reviewed .
Life is change.
