Favourable conditions are Active vertical & lateral erosion in upper course of the river to provide extensive sediments. Coast should be sheltered preferably tideless & no strong current at right angle to the mouth of the river washing away the sediments. Sea adjoining the delta should be shallow or else the load will disappear in deep waters.
