The Reduviidae is a large cosmopolitan family of the order Hemiptera. Reduviidae are some blood-sucking ectoparasites in the subfamily Triatominae.
Adult mango leafhoppers are golden-brown or dark brown, wedge-shaped insects about 4 - 5 mm in length that look rather like a small cicada. When disturbed, the adults jump off the plant with a clicking sound, fly a short distance and then quickly resettle on the plant.
