Among the districts, Ghaziabad has recorded the highest literacy rate (85.00 per cent) during Census 2011 followed by Gautam Buddha Nagar (82.20 per cent), Kanpur Nagar (81.31 percent), Auraiya (80.25 percent), Etawah (79.99 percent), Lucknow (79.33 percent), Mainpuri (78.26 percent), Kanpur Dehat (77.52 percent).
