The pF value is a quantity that indicates the quality of water available in the soil. The pF value is zero when the soil is filled with water in submerged conditions.
Whereas the water remaining in the soil after 24 hours of irrigation or rainfall is the field capacity and at field capacity, the value of pF is 2.5.
