And hulling in rice is the process of removing the rough and hard cover of rice shells.It is removed by passing the grains between two abrasive surfaces that move at different speeds. Most of the rice varieties contain 18% - 20% of rice hull and the remaining part is starchy endosperm i.e. 70% - 72%.
