In filarial nematode, the life cycle is Indirect.
Microfilariae wander through the skin, where they may be picked up by a feeding vector blackfly. In the blackfly they mature into infective larvae, which may enter a new host when the blackfly feeds. The larvae then move to the subcutaneous tissues, mature, mate, and produce microfilariae.
