In GPS, at least 4 satellites are required to locate a point. It means at least four satellites are essential to calculate a precise location on the Earth using GPS, i.e. Global Positioning System. Out of the four, three are required to determine a position on the earth and one is required to adjust for the error in the receiver's clock.
