In ΔPQR, the side QR is extended to S such that RS = PR. If ∠QPS = 110° and ∠PRQ = 70°, then the value of ∠PQR is:

A. 50°

B. 40°

C. 35°

D. 45°

Answer: Option C

Solution (By Examveda Team)

Geometry mcq question image
∠PRQ = ∠RPS + ∠RSP (by exterior angle + x)
70° = x + x
x = 35°
∠RSP = 35° = ∠PSQ
∠PQS + ∠QPS + ∠PSQ = 180°
∠PQS + 110° + 35° = 180°
∠PQS = 35° = ∠PQR
