In which year Portuguese occupied Mumbai

In 1534 Portuguese occupied Mumbai. On 23^rd December 1534, the Treaty of Bassein was signed on board the galleon San Mateos. Bassein and the seven islands of Bombay were surrendered later by a treaty of peace and commerce between Bahadur Shah and Nuno da Cunha on 25^th October 1535, permanently ending the Islamic rule on the islands.
