First of all, irrigate immediately after sowing then on the 3^rd day followed by repetitive irrigation after 7 - 10 days depending upon soil and climatic conditions while irrigation before flowering and during the pod formation stage is the most critical and highly recommended stage when irrigation in grams is must.
