The Jobner research station of Jaipur has developed the Jadia and Jwala varieties of moth bean. It is a drought-resistant crop that can be easily cultivated in the hot and dry habitats of the northern and western parts of our country. It is grown on an area of 13.19 lakh hectares with a production of 17.53 lakh tonnes.
