Kanamycin derivate is Amikacin.
Amikacin is an antibiotic medication used for several bacterial infections. It is also used for the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.
Amikacin is a semisynthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is derived from kanamycin A by acetylation with an S-4-amino-2-hydroxybutyryl (AHB) side chain at the 1-position of its deoxystreptamine moiety. Amikacin shares many physical, chemical, pharmacologic, and toxicologic properties with kanamycin.
