Few important points about Bandipur National Park:
• The State has 5 Tiger Reserves namely, Bandipur, Bhadra, Nagarahole, Dandeli-Anshi and BRT Tiger Reserves which is headed by Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Project Tiger), Mysuru & Shivamogga.
• It was established as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in 1973.
• It is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve since 1986.
