The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC MTS Examination every year to recruit candidates for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar posts in various Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Offices. SSC MTS Age Limit 2026

The SSC MTS Age Limit 2026 is prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission as per the Recruitment Rules of the respective User Departments. The age limit varies depending on the post applied for. In addition, candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for age relaxation as per the Government of India and SSC guidelines. The age limit details are as follows:

SSC MTS Nationality 2026

To be eligible for the SSC MTS Examination 2026, candidates must satisfy the nationality requirements prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). A candidate must be an Indian citizen or belong to any of the following categories:

  • Citizen of India.
  • Citizen of Nepal.
  • Citizen of Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification 2026

Candidates applying for the SSC MTS Examination 2026 must have passed the Matriculation (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board on or before the closing date of the online application. Candidates who do not possess the required educational qualification by the prescribed date will not be eligible to apply. SSC MTS Physical Eligibility 2026 (Only for Havaldar Posts)

Candidates applying for the Havaldar post in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) must meet the prescribed Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) requirements.
