A Stevenson screen is an instrument shelter or an enclosure for meteorological instruments against precipitation and direct heat radiation from the outside environment. It is an important instrument of Agrometereology.
Its main use is to provide a standardized environment in which to measure temperature, humidity, dew point and atmospheric pressure.
