A congenital reproductive abnormality in white female offspring (heifers) in certain breeds of Cattle. The white colour is inherited as a recessive trait that is associated with defects in the female reproductive tract (Muellerian system).
A partial persistent hymen may present as a band or bands of tissue stretching across the opening of the vagina and typically has no effect on fertility.
