The highest production of mustard in India is in the state of Rajasthan, which is why it is also called as ‘mustard state’ of India.
It is expected to increase to 49.50 lakh tonnes in 2021 - 22 from 35 lakh tonnes in the previous year. Rajasthan produces 47.26%, Haryana 11.73%, Madhya Pradesh 11%, Uttar Pradesh 10% followed by West Bengal 7% of mustard respectively.
