    As per IS 456 2000 clause 26.3.3 (page no. - 46)

    The horizontal distance between parallel main rebars shall not be more than three times the effective depth of solid slab or 300mm whichever is smaller.
    So correct answer is option A) 3 times

    Actually ans should be five times (option c) . & option a is for column not for simply supported slab from my knowledge.
