Rajendra Singh, an Indian water conservationist and environmentalist from Alwar, Rajasthan is known as the "Waterman of India”.
He won the Magsaysay award, in 2001 and Stockholm water price in 2015.
He is the founder of an NGO "Tarun Bharat Sangh" which works for water management in the semi-arid areas of Rajasthan which lies near that dessert.
