Trichinella cysts can be destroyed by Salting.
Trichinella spiralis is the smallest known nematode parasite of humans. The males measure about 1.4 mm to 1.6 mm in length and the females are twice the size of the males.
Trichinosis is mainly spread when undercooked meat containing Trichinella is eaten. The females release new larvae that migrate to voluntarily controlled muscles, where they form cysts.
Curing (salting), drying, smoking, or microwaving meat kills infective worms.
