Jagannath is a mutant dwarf variety of rice released in the year 1971 by Rice Research Station, Bhubaneswar. It is developed by the method of mutation which is why called as mutant variety.
It is fairly resistant to stem borer and broad spectrum of field resistance to major pests and diseases.
