Alkali soils are clay soils with high pH greater than 8.5. Alkali soil is a poor soil structure and a low infiltration capacity. Beans, Beet, Cauliflower, Garlic, kale and pea are the vegetables that can be grown in alkaline soils.
Whereas some crops increase the alkalinity of the soil and paddy is one of them.
