Samudragupta performed the Ashvamedha sacrifice to prove his imperial sovereignty, and according to his coins, remained undefeated. His gold coins and inscriptions suggest that he was an accomplished poet, and also played music. His expansionist policy was continued by his son Chandragupta II. Samudra Gupta is known as father of Inscriptions.

    Ashoka The Great is the Father of Inscriptions. Samudra Gupta its a wrong Answer. Pls Remove and add the answer as ASHOKA THE GREAT. More than 1000 inscriptions were engraved in the time of ASHOKA THE GREAT
