C. Braj Raj Dev

D. Duleep singh

Answer: Option A

Solution (By Examveda Team)

The last ruler of the Dev dynasty was Jit Singh.

Raja Braj Raj Dev was killed during the Sikh invasion of Jammu in 1787. His infant son, Raja Sampuran Singh, succeeded him but only ruled as an autonomous tributary under the Sikh Confederacy Misls until 1797.

After Raja Sampuran Singh, Raja Jit Singh became the ruler. During Jit Singh's rule, the Dev dynasty finally came to an end, and Jammu came under the control of the Sikh Empire.
