A mixture contains spirit and water in the ratio of 3 : 2. If it contains 3 litres more spirit than water, the quantity of spirit in the mixture is = ?

Solution (By Examveda Team)

Spirit and Water in the ratio of 3 : 2
There are 3 liters more spirit in the mixture.
∴ 3x - 2x = 3
⇒ x = 3
∴ Quantity of spirit in the mixture = 3 × 3 = 9
