∴ Income ⇒ expenses + Savings
$$\eqalign{ & \therefore \frac{{3x - 1000}}{{2x - 1000}} = \frac{5}{3} \cr & \Rightarrow 9x - 3000 = 10x - 5000 \cr & \Rightarrow x = 2000 \cr} $$
∴ Annual income of Amit is = 3x
= 3 × 2000
= Rs. 6000
