As far as i know, in my humble knowledge, there should be his/her instead of their in the sentence as possessive/ reflexive pronoun. Kindly, if i am wrong, correct me, thankyou!

Eg: each of us loves his home.
So, in the above question it should be:-

no it is not correct to use 'HIS' because
1. it is clearly written students(plural) so it is not correct to use he(singular.)
2. it is nowhere said that the CLASS consist of only boys.
