Article-124(1) established Supreme Court with Chief Justice of India and 7 other judges in the beginning. Parliament has been conferred with the power to increase the number of judges. At present, there are 31 judges including 1 Chief Justice and 33 others judges in Supreme Court India.The Supreme Court (Number of Judges) Amendment Bill, 2019 increases this number from 30 to 33 excluding the Chief Justice of India
