By Ohms Law we have
I = V/R
but here R is replaced by impedance Z
Thus, I = V/Z
and,
Z = sqrt(R^2 - Xc^2)
As it is a purely capacitive circuit thus, R = 0
We have Z = Xc = 1/2πfC
now if f is halved, then Xc will be doubled
As we have I = V/Xc
This results in I being halved
